Pointing Your Domain to TrexServers

After your hosting service is active, your domain needs to point to the server before visitors can reach your site.

Option 1: Use our nameservers

  1. Sign in where your domain is registered.
  2. Open the domain's nameserver or DNS section.
  3. Replace the current nameservers with the nameservers shown in your TrexServers service details or welcome email.
  4. Save the change and allow DNS propagation time.

Option 2: Use an A record

If you want to keep DNS at your registrar or another DNS provider, point your domain's A record to the server IP shown in your service details.

  • @ or the root domain should point to the server IP.
  • www can be a CNAME to your root domain or an A record to the same IP.

How long does it take?

DNS changes often work within minutes, but some providers and networks can cache old records for several hours.
