Installing SSL for Your Website

SSL allows your site to load securely over HTTPS. TrexServers hosting supports free SSL certificates through DirectAdmin.

Before you start

• Your domain must point to your TrexServers server.
• DNS propagation should be complete enough that the server can verify the domain.

Install SSL in DirectAdmin

1. Open DirectAdmin from your service details.
2. Go to Account Manager → SSL Certificates.
3. Choose the Let's Encrypt option.
4. Select the domain names you want covered, usually the root domain and www.
5. Save or issue the certificate.

If SSL fails

Most SSL failures are caused by DNS not pointing to the server yet. Wait a little longer, confirm the A record or nameservers, then try again. If it still fails, open a support ticket.
